Cell-Based Model Systems for Validation of Various Efficacy-Based Claims for Cosmetic Ingredients

The current article systematically presents in-vitro/cell-based and/or cell-free strategies for validating the efficacies of cosmetic ingredients (especially herbal ingredients) for skin health and hair growth. The article focuses on various assays for the anti-acne effects, hair-growth-promoting activities, anti-aging activities, skin-rejuvenating properties, wound-healing effects, and skin-depigmentation activities of natural ingredients in cosmetic formulations.
