BASF launches Euperlan NL Pearl Wax-based Pearlizer

A wax-based, COSMOS-compliant pearlizer for personal care products, Euperlan NL Pearl (INCI: Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil (and) Cocamidopropyl Betaine (and) Glyceryl Oleate), has been introduced by BASF. According to claims, the component is biodegradable and suited for solutions without sulphate surfactants and ethylene oxide and follows ISO 16128 standard. It is cold processable and may be used in shampoos, body washes, shower gels, and other products, enabling a natural origin content of up to 99%. According to reports, Euperlan NL Pearl produces opacifying and pearlizing effects on skin without the use of colours.
