Taiwanese Ministry of Health and Welfare Seeks Public Input on Proposed Changes to Prohibited Ingredients in Cosmetic Products

The Taiwanese Ministry of Health and Welfare is awaiting opinions on a draft amendment to the list of ingredients prohibited in cosmetic products, which was introduced on December 13, 2023, and will remain open for another 60 days (i.e. February 15, 2024)
The Cosmetic Hygiene and Safety Act prohibits the use of 
* Aminocaproic acid(INN)and its salts 
* 3- and 4-(4-Hydroxy-4-methylpentyl) 
cyclohex-3-ene-1-carbaldehyde (HICC)
* 2,6-Dihydroxy-4-methyl-benzaldehyde 
(atranol) 
* 3-Chloro-2,6-Dihydroxy-4-methylbenzaldehyde (chloroatranol) 
* Perfluorooctane sulfonic acid 
* Ammonium pentadecafluorooctanoate 
* Perfluorooctanoic acid 
* Nonadecafluorodecanoic acid [1] Ammonium nonadecafluorodecanoate [2] Sodium nonadecafluorodecanoate [3] 
* Perfluorononan-1-oic acid [1] and its sodium [2] and ammonium [3] salts in cosmetic products
