ASEAN Amends Cosmetic Ingredient Annexes to ACD: 42 New Ingredients Included and 10 Ingredients Revised

These modifications were agreed upon during the 36th meeting of the ASEAN Cosmetic Scientific Body (ACSB) and will go into effect on November 21, 2024.

1) adding 42 prohibited ingredients and revising the requirements for one prohibited ingredient;
2) revising the requirements for four restricted ingredients.
3) revising the requirements for one permitted colorant.
4) revising the requirements for the three permitted preservatives; and
5) Revising the requirements for a single allowed UV-filter.
