Benzene containing sunscreen recalled again in the US

Edgewell Personal Care Company (NYSE: EPC) has increased its voluntary countrywide recall of three batches of Banana Boat Hair & Scalp Sunscreen Spray SPF 30 to the consumer level, as detailed in the following table. In addition to the original recall announced on July 29, 2022, one more lot has been recalled.

A review revealed that some product samples contained small amounts of benzene.

Importantly, no other Hair & Scalp batches (either before or after these batch codes) or other Banana Boat products are affected by this recall, and consumers may continue to use them as intended.

The sunscreen spray items voluntarily recalled are packed in aerosol cans. The products were supplied nationwide in the United States through a variety of brick-and-mortar and online stores.
