FDA Philippine's seeks public input on "Rules and Regulations Governing the Issuance of Authorizations for Toys and Childcare Articles"

The Food and Drug Administration, Philippines & the Center for Cosmetics and Household/Urban Hazardous Substances Regulation and Research (CCHUHSRR) is circulating a draft administrative order titled "Rules and Regulations Governing the Issuance of Authorizations for Toys and Childcare Articles". The order aims to update and align TCCA regulations with relevant laws, locally-established standards, and internationally-accepted standards. It also aims to institutionalize the Product Notification procedure for toys and childcare articles, rationalize the issuance of Certificates of Exemption for exempted toys, games, and childcare articles, and provide roles and responsibilities for marketing authorization holders to ensure the safety, efficacy, and quality of toys and childcare articles throughout the product life cycle.

Deadline for comments is on January 15, 2024.
