EU notified WTO about its draft amendment requiring cosmetics to declare added fragrance allergens on label

On September 15, 2022, WTO publlished a notification informing about a draft measure proposed by the EU requiring cosmetic products containing fragrance allergens to be labelled on the  product packaging, if their concentration is more than 0.001 % in leave-on products and 0.01 % in rinse-off products. The Annex III of the EU Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 is being amended in this regard and amended provisions, requirements are expected to be enfoced from the first half of 2023.
